Nurturing the Land, Empowering Our People
Our holistic commitment to regenerative highland agriculture, mountain watershed conservation, and fair social upliftment across Sri Lanka.
Tea Grown in Harmony with Nature
At Rosenborg and Benchmark International (Pvt) Ltd, we believe that world-class tea cannot be grown at the expense of the earth or the people who tend it. The misty highlands of Sri Lanka represent one of the world's 36 recognized biodiversity hotspots — home to rare orchids, leopards, and endemic avian species.
By pairing ancient artisanal farming wisdom with modern agro-ecological science, our partner gardens regenerate soil fertility, eliminate hazardous chemicals, and ensure that every leaf plucked is a gift that honors the planet.

How We Protect the Highland Ecosystem
A four-pronged approach addressing soil vitality, clean water conservation, human empowerment, and carbon reduction.
1. Regenerative Agriculture
We actively protect mountain slopes through biological contour terracing, natural compost mulching, and planting nitrogen-fixing shade trees (Albizia and Grevillea) that enrich topsoil naturally.
2. Watershed Protection
Our estates sit at the source of Sri Lanka's critical mountain rivers. We maintain 30-meter native forest buffers along all streams to filter runoff and protect downstream communities.
3. Community Empowerment
Fair wages, on-site estate medical clinics, maternity healthcare, and educational scholarships guarantee that plucker families and their children enjoy dignity and a thriving future.
4. Zero-Waste Packaging
Our pyramid bags use 100% plant-based, plastic-free biodegradable cornstarch PLA filter mesh. Our caddies are crafted from endlessly recyclable tin, sealed without wasteful single-use plastics.

Investing in Estate Communities
Tea plucking is a generational art form that demands acute sensory sensitivity and dexterous skill. The women and men who harvest our leaves are the true backbone of Ceylon tea’s global prestige.
